Cause

Diagnosis points

Visible mucous membranes show varying degrees of yellow staining. Sick dogs mainly present symptoms of dyspepsia, which are characterized by dry stool at the beginning, followed by diarrhea, loose stools, strong smell, and light color. When blood is collected for liver function tests, all indicators can show positive reactions.

Prevention

(1) Elimination of the cause is mainly to treat the primary disease and stop the application of drugs that damage liver function.

(2) Protecting liver and promoting choleretics. 25% glucose injection 50-100 ml, vitamin C injection 2 ml, vitamin B12 2 ml, vitamin B12 1 ml, 1 intravenous injection, once a day. In order to promote bile excretion, 10 to 30 grams of artificial salt or magnesium sulfate or sodium sulfate can be taken orally.

(3) Enhance liver detoxification function. Glutamate can be used, 0.5 to 2 grams orally each time, 3 times a day.
