Cause

There are thorn wounds, cut wounds, cut wounds, tear wounds and bite wounds.

Diagnosis points

The main symptoms of trauma are bleeding, pain, and tearing. Severe trauma can cause dysfunction, such as limb trauma can cause limp.

Treatment

(1) Fresh wounds After shearing, disinfecting, and cleaning the dirt and soil near the wound, take corresponding measures according to the degree of injury. Such as small trauma, you can directly apply iodine, 5% gentian purple liquid and so on. When the wound area is large, the bleeding is severe and the tissue is damaged, firstly use compression method or clamp method or ligation method to stop the bleeding, and repair the wound edge, excise the contused necrotic tissue, remove the foreign body in the wound, and then perform the necessary sutures, etc..

(2) Old wounds or infected planing should be washed with 3% to 5% hydrogen peroxide solution, and 3 to 4 cm around the wound should be cut or shaved. After disinfecting the skin, apply 5% iodine, and then partially or completely remove the wound according to the nature of the wound and the anatomical location. For example, when the wound is sutured, there must be a drainage port for exudate, and gauze should be installed for drainage. You can also install anti-corrosion bandages or implement open treatment. During the treatment, systemic treatment should be done according to the mental state of the sick dog.
